CCGBC will be hosting a virtual electrification panel discussion hosted by Brandon Kaysen (CCGBC + City of Ventura) with Chris Read (City of SLO Sustainability Manager) and Alelia Parenteau (Acting Sustainability and Resilience Director at City of Santa Barbara) to discuss this topic as it pertains to each region. Topics may include:

• With the threat of power being shut off due to high winds during fire season, how can I convince clients to convert to all-electric homes?

• Do we need to continue to rely on natural gas until our infrastructure allows us to safely and securely, in the worldwide energy market, convert to all-electric.

• I understand utilities prefer solar farms to rooftop solar. What is better for the environment and for individual building owners?
