Santa Barbara Botanic Garden (SBBG): Burton Mesa Day Trip at the La Purisima Mission

Sunday, March 27th @ 9:00 am - 1:00 pm, La Purisima Mission

Enjoy springtime blooms at Burton Mesa Preserve with Steve Junak, the Santa Barbara Botanic Garden’s Herbarium Curator emeritus. At least 25 special-status plant species are found on the ancient stabilized sand dunes of Burton Mesa, the La Purisima Mission lands, and surrounding areas. Participants will explore a unique sandhill chaparral community dominated by giant La Purisima manzanitas and walk through open sandy areas with spring flowers.


Registration is $35/ SBBG Members, $45 non-members
