Welcome back Green Schools Group!

Hopefully many of you were engaged by the beginning of our Seminars for Success Series. We still have a few more topics to cover and then we have some very exciting projects to discuss that we think will excite each of you.

Recognizing that we had very limited attendance at our last meeting due to the proximity of when school was in session, we have decided to postpone our Thursday August 16th meeting, until out next scheduled meeting on Thursday September 20th. An email will be sent out shortly with many details regarding this meeting.

I hope that you have found value in Green Schools. I not only urge you to participate this year, but hope you will consider becoming a member of USGBC California Central Coast Chapter. Please click the link below to see our new website and see all of the benefits offered to you and the community. Membership is very inexpensive, additionally there is a student rate available. For membership, just click the connect tab on this page. By joining you are allowing us funding to keep making efforts to raise community awareness for the need to make our schools more sustainable, which makes them healthier for our children, raises test scores, and saves our districts money.

One of our main goals this year in Greens Schools will be to bring together other groups such as Cal Poly and Cuesta Students, more teachers, more K-12 students, PTA's, Green Build, Eco Rotary, and anyone you can think of. Let us truly work together try to build community partnerships. I look forward to working to grow our group to new heights for a challenge I hope we can tackle next school year-more to come!!!

See you soon.
