September Green Building Speaker Series

The Central Coast Green Building Council (CCGBC), the Ventura College Architecture Department, and AIA Santa Barbara are teaming up to present virtual, monthly, hour-long presentations by professionals within the realm of green building. Join us during this presentation from 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm on September 29th, 2021, where Brian Johnson, CCGBC Board Member and Director of Sustainability at the Ashkin Group, will be discussing green cleaning and its role in optimizing building occupant health and safety.

Description:

• An examination of the maintenance chemicals introduced into a building over its operational life and how we can do better.
• The architect's role in reducing the impacts of long-term building maintenance practices and chemicals through design and material selection.
• Pandemic and post-pandemic strategies to protect occupant health and preserve infrastructure through Green Clean strategies.
• Upcoming changes in LEED Green Cleaning Standards
