Together to Zero: Community Climate Brainstorming Session 3/3/21

  • 03 Mar 2021
  • 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM
  • Online

The City of Santa Barbara has launched its “Together to Zero” climate campaign to support the Council’s bold goal of reaching carbon neutrality by 2035. The City understands that achieving carbon neutrality will require the entire community’s input and participation so it has developed a robust engagement plan and invites the community to participate in multiple ways in the design of locally-relevant climate solutions.

The first two “Together to Zero” events, Community Climate Brainstorming Sessions, participants will brainstorm innovative and local solutions to address the City’s three main greenhouse gas emission (GHG) sources: transportation, energy, and waste. After a brief introduction to the GHG source from City Staff, participants will work together in small groups to design solutions to address the respective GHG source. The City’s goal is to foster a comfortable, safe space where people can freely share their ideas – no matter how big or small!
