Safety Assessment Evaluator Program Training

AIA California Council is offering a one day Safety Assessment Program Evaluator Training to train civil engineers, structural engineers, architects, and building inspectors to do field evaluations of buildings and other infrastructure for safety. This training is approved by AIA for CEUs for architects.

Experience in dealing with threats like natural and man-made disasters such as earthquakes, floods, hurricanes, and explosions reveals that the number of total inspections due to nonstructural damage can be more than three times the number of red-tagged and yellow-tagged buildings. Most building departments do not have the ability to perform multitudes of such inspections in a short period of time, so a strong need exists to have a cadre of trained professionals available to assist local governments, along with a program to manage this cadre.

The training will be led by Paul Poirier, AIA, LEED AP and certified SAP trainer.
Paul is also one of our longstanding CCGBC Board Members!
A field guide, workbook, lunch, coffee and beverages will be provided.

Cost $ $80.00 ($83.79 w/service fee)

6 AIA Learning units and credentialing will be given upon completion of this training.
