Greywater Installation and Swale Building & Planting
Educational Work Party with Josh Carmichael from Carmichael Environmental.

Join us at the Lavra for a hands-on Greywater and Contour Swale Building Workshop on Sat. May 21st. Learn how to tame steep slopes on your land with on-contour swales using simple A-frame levels and hand cutting techniques. We will then be installing a laundry-to-landscape and branch drain type greywater system to irrigate a food forest on the sloped garden area. There will be lots of fun, music, and learning all in an enchanted Oak forest for all who come to play!

Tentative Schedule

9-10: Education with Josh Carmichael and Paige Wyatt, coffee, tea, breakfast, snacks
10-2: Workshop including greywater installation and swale digging and planting (snacks available)
2-3 : Lunch and run through what we've done
3-dusk: Extra planting, food, drinks, music, relaxation, Permaculture discussions, enjoying beautiful Lavra

Feel free to come from whenever to whenever and contribute however you want to enjoy this educational work party.
Extra food, snacks, drinks, music, and friends are always welcome!
